Magyar Telekom
Magyar Telekom is the main provider of telecommunication services in Hungary. The work of the Magyar Telekom covers two market segments:
- residential services for fixed and mobile communications (T-home brands and T-mobile)
- corporate brand services (T-systems)
On 3 July 2000, following an agreement between shareholders, Deutsche Telekom bought from SBC consent for shares of the Magyar Telekom, 50%, respectively. As a result, Deutsche Telekom took control and became majority shareholder, by increasing the party its shares in 59.52% (the difference in 40,48% of the shares being public transactioned).
The entry on the retail market in Romania, by setting up company Combridge, is in line with its strategy of international expansion of the Magyar Telekom, to strengthen the presence of telecommunications markets in South-Eastern Europe companies are members of the Magyar Telekom in Hungary IT&C supplied services operating under various brands.
