Magyar Telekom won a Central-Eastern Europe Best Employer Award at the joint Hewitt-Világgazdaság survey this year.

Magyar Telekom won a Central-Eastern Europe Best Employer Award at the joint Hewitt-Világgazdaság survey this year. Hungary's market leader telecommunication group was ranked 10th in the category of companies with more than 1000 employees. The result achieved at the employee satisfaction survey conducted among close to 150 companies of the region is an extremely important recognition, as merely 6 Hungarian companies were ranked to be among the best, and one of them is Magyar Telekom.

Commenting upon the award, Magyar Telekom's Chairman-CEO, Christopher Mattheisen said: "We are very proud to have won the Best Employer Award not only in Hungary, but in the region, too. This recognition is based on feedback from the employees, and shows that Telekom people are much more loyal to their employer, Magyar Telekom, compared not only to the Hungarian average, but even to that of the region. We continue to strive by all possible means to ensure that Magyar Telekom be a likable and livable workplace, with which its employees are satisfied, and retain its prestigious rank among the most desired employers in Hungary."

The Healthy Workplace 2009 Award is a recognition of the fact that Telekom feels responsible for the health of its employees.

The Family-friendly Workplace 2008 Award recognized Magyar Telekom's achievements in the context of promoting work-life balance.

At the Most Desired Company 2009 survey, Magyar Telekom was ranked 4th by final-year day students of technical studies, and 7th by economics students. These prestigious rankings are due to the fact that Magyar Teekom, as an employer committed to equal opportunities, supports new graduates through its internship program.
