Cisco Network Engineer

Cisco Network Engineer responsible for designing and implementing SD WAN (software-defined network) architectures at a global level, identifying and integrating new technologies to optimize and secure the infrastructure, as well as diagnosing and resolving complex network incidents in collaboration with vendors and internal technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enable deployment of a software-defined network architecture for the global compute platform.
- Provide high-level / low-level design solutions and support function for SD-WAN, SD-LAN, SD-WiFi
- Identify and evaluate the integration of new technologies for the SD-WAN including additional automation to respond to shifting demand, dynamic reconfiguration to address security threats, and analysis of traffic patterns to predict future needs. Proactive assessment of potential items of risk and vulnerabilities in the network
- Create and execute test-cases for new solution to enable quality testing of this solution.
- Managing Network infrastructure: routers, firewalls, switches
- Monitoring network and systems health, responding appropriately to network alerts and events to diagnose and troubleshoot network issues
- Troubleshoot complex network performance issues to identify root cause and recommend solutions.
- Interact with vendors and third party for problem resolution
- Act as Level2 support for customers.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of network principles and practices
- Experience in configuring switches, routers, firewalls.
- Experience with SDWAN, SDLAN, SDWiFi technology (Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, Juniper MIST; other vendors are a plus)
- Cisco/Juniper certifications; other vendors are a plus .
- Knowledge of IP security implementations, CPE-VPNs (IPSEC, L2TP), firewall technologies
- Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and MPLS based solutions.
- Experience in Linux server administration/virtualization is a plus
- Strong time management and resource management skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Self starter, ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize them accordingly
- Good communication skills, fluent in English
